System Information

System Requirements: Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP; 5mb hard drive space
(for installation--saving lesson plans will use more hard drive space)

System Recommendations: Pentium grade processor or higher, 32mb RAM or higher, 800x600 resolution compatibility

Automatic Setup Instructions--

Download the file to an easy place to remember (ie. c:\windows\desktop)
Using WinZip*, extract the file (ie. c:\windows\desktop)
Go to this directory and double-click the file named 'Setup' (Setup.exe)
This will take you through an automatic setup program.

The setup will prompt you for the installation location.
The setup will prompt you for the program group icons (the links to run the program)
The setup will copy and install all necessary files for the program to run properly.

Once the setup is complete, it will prompt you.
At this time, you may delete the temporary directory and downloaded file to free up hard drive space.
To run the program, simply go to Start->Programs->Teach-ER and click on Teach-ER

Note: We have experienced problems with some users trying to use the automatic setup method. While we do not know 100% what is causing these problems, it is evident that the setup program is not allowed to alter the necessary files on these few computers. If the automatic installation method does not work properly on your system, please refer to the file below which uses a batch, proprietary installation method.

Manual Installation Instructions--

Download the file to an easy place to remember (ie. c:\windows\desktop)
Using WinZip*, extract the file (ie. c:\windows\desktop)
Go to this directory and double-click the file named 'Install' (Install.bat)
This installation will not prompt you for any values!

It will automatically create a directory called c:\teach-er
It will automatically copy all program files necessary to this directory
It will automatically copy a 'Shortcut' item to your desktop

Once the installation is complete, the program will print a tell-all statement.
Close the finished MS-DOS window
At this time, you may delete the temporary directory and downloaded file to free up hard drive space.
To run the program, either setup your own Start Menu icons for the program, run the program from the c:\teach-er directory, or use the Shortcut Icon on your desktop.
